For over 12 years, Rik has worked as a freelancer on some of the biggest brands in the world and his work has been used in advertising the world over: from Hong Kong to New York, London to Paris, Amsterdam to Milan. A self-taught digital artist, Rik is famous for his bold color use and new ways to create abstraction. He mixes photos of nature, objects, scenes, and paint strokes he’s applied to a real canvas. Using software, he can change and align the lighting, or magnify a small shape to look as large as a mountain. He can also control the colors in the image, making them bolder than in real life or layering new colors over a photo. He has spoken at industry events, including OFFF Barcelona, FITC Amsterdam and Adobe MAX. He has been listed as one of the world's top digital artists by Lürzer's Archive.
