Collaboration with Art Unchained in creating an online gallery/museum to have a public area for the art collected by the Moonbirds DAO to be on show. As we can see from the results from the DAO survey 51% of responders are interested in supporting artists through the DAO as well as 37% interested in live events. With this focus on art and live events having a place in which both can be catered to. In order to cater to this interest I propose working with Art Unchained to create a place where we present the art for the community. This web3 gallery will also act as a community hub, where DAO members and the art community can meet and interact with one another.
Through the upkeep and curation at the Museum we would be able to give many artists a platform to tell their stories and showcase their art to the community. There is also the potential to run live events where artists would be able to sell/auction the pieces on display if they wished to.
The Gallery would also be able to be used as a place for community members to come together and have interactive meetings. For instance to hold a talk about a proposal idea
in a specific room in the Gallery.
This proposal mainly aims to achieve objective 1. It will aim to elevate the Moonbirds’ standing within the web3 community as a pfp for art enjoyers, through curating and creating an innovative space where people can come and walk through the Museum and Gallery virtually.
As Moonbirds is aiming to be a pfp for art collectors it makes sense to me that the community would have a virtual gallery like the one proposed, in which art can be displayed and a place where art events be held for Moonbirds
Inaros: I am a keen enjoyer of NFT art and have been deep in the space since early 2020. I have set up a Moonbird Sub-parliament called Kubernao and consider myself a member of the Moonbird community, importantly through Kubernáo I have shown that I can build the network that will be needed in managing the gallery but also have the drive and experience needed to pull something like this off. I feel like I can be trusted to collaborate with the community to ensure the Moonbirds Art Museum fairly represents the community and the artists it wants to showcase work from.
ArtUnchained: Our team, consisting of passionate art enthusiasts and studied architects, was formed within the web3 community. Together we complement each other and bring all the skills required to create customized virtual galleries and run art projects.https://art-unchained.io/
The delivery of the Moonbird Museum/Gallery would be starting straight away and at a cost of $13,500 (can do 50% payment upfront with further 50% on delivery).
Then the curation team would start the curation of art pieces to showcase as well as building out certain themes for each space. We would then start to build a plan for a timetable in which to showcase the NFTs and arrange the hosting of community events.
The main risk would be a lack of traction within the Moonbird community as well as struggling to get artists engaged with the Moonbirds Art Museum. But I do think we have an amazingly talented community and many amazing artists in which we would be able to showcase.
It will be spent on the creation and management of the product. No planned revenue model unless we charged a commission on sales of artwork within the gallery but I would rather it be a free platform for artists and the community to use and interact within. Open to changing this if people would rather see revenue back to the DAO. $13,500 to build the Oncyber space and $8,500 for 12months of management fees
