An application designed for Raspberry Pi that can be connected to a TV to showcase NFTs, highlighting their ownership and provenance.
The Raspberry Pi NFT Showcase App is designed to allow users to display their NFT collection on a TV. It fetches data from the blockchain, verifies ownership, and showcases the NFT with its provenance. This serves as a bridge between the digital and physical world, letting users showcase their digital assets in their living space.
I think that having a low cost device that plugs in via HDMI to an existing TV would be a super low frinction way to get normies involved in the world of NFTs.
If everything worked as plan, the Proof Team, the community, and I could figure out a way to fully productize the system and distribute it to holders. We could also think about distribution to the rest of web3 in the form of a business or something else that might make sense.
It is better to buy more art, than having to choose between buying art and equipment to display it. If a product like this comes out of the Moonbirds community, we will get a lot of recognition.
I am a software developer with 6+ years of experience, including 2 years in blockchain and NFT projects.
Currently, I am the sole force behind this initiative. With a rich tapestry of experience spanning 6 years, I've honed my skills across a diverse range of languages and frameworks. My proficiency includes, but is not limited to:
Platforms: Jetson Nvidia nano, xavier NX, and Xavier (More complex than raspberry Pi). Firefly NPU development boards.
Frontend Development: I've crafted intuitive and responsive user interfaces using JavaScript and React, ensuring optimal user experiences.
Backend Development: My expertise extends to backend systems, having worked with various technologies to create robust and scalable solutions.
Languages: My coding journey has seen me delve deep into languages like JavaScript, C++, and Rust, each time emerging with a product that stands testament to my dedication and skill.
End-to-End Product Development: Beyond just coding, I've taken ideas from conception to completion, single-handedly developing entire products that cater to user needs while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.
Phase 1 (2 weeks): Design UI/UX and finalize features.
Phase 2 (4 weeks): Develop the app, integrate with blockchain, and conduct internal testing.
Phase 3 (2 weeks): Beta testing with select Moonbirds and Mythics community members.
Phase 4 (1 week): Address feedback and finalize the app for launch. Talk with Proof about help and distribution plan.
The risk is I encounter an incompatibility in the stack I will be using to make the app. There are many ways to skin this cat, so if something is incompatible, I can use other stacks. I will be open about my progress and inform the community if I get stuck and how to move past the hurdles.
The money will be for my development time. I think a squiggle is an appropriate reward for the time and effort commitment I forsee.
If things go well, we could certainly think about how this could bring revenue to the community.
